Icon Park, International Drive, Orlando

Travel distance/time from Florida Delight (22.9 miles: 28 minutes)

It is quite hard to know where to even start describing International Drive, or I-Drive as it is also known as, because it encompasses so many attractions.

Since we bought our villa at Watersong we have always included a visit to International Drive during our holiday and in the past few years we have seen a lot of development there. There is now the very impressive Pointe Orlando which has a wealth of shops, restaurants and entertainment as well as plenty of parking for up to 1600 cars. Just a few minutes walk from Pointe Orlando is Icon Park.

Both are worth a visit but our favourite area is Icon Park. There is a multistorey car park just behind Icon Park and the top few levels are free to park. Good to walk round Icon Park both day and night but in the evenings it is more buzzing an atmosphere and pretty with different attractions nicely lit at night.

There are a whole host of other attractions such as Madame Tussauds, Ripley's Believe it Or Not,  Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf , Dinner Shows, Night Clubs, a multiscreen Cineplex with IMAX. The crazy golf at Pirate's Cove Adventure is always really good fun and we have done it many times with family and friends. The course is quite spectacular especially at night when floodlit.
